Mr. President is a sandbox simulation of the U.S. presidency. In Mr. President, you have to take on the entire presidential portfolio: running the war on terror, dealing with domestic crises, managing your cabinet, working with U.S. allies and rivals, passing your domestic agenda through Congress, and every other responsibility that comes with sitting in the Oval Office.
The game teaches basic American civics, international relations, and how governments work. As a player, you feel the pressure of being the President trying to balance domestic and international challenges.
The goal is to successfully complete your term as President, win re-election, and win your second term. Things that can derail your term include China and/or Russia getting too powerful or a domestic crisis bringing you down.
Our target audience is adults over 18 interested in politics. Our current player base is 76% US, 17% Europe, and other countries combine for 7%.
We assess the performance of the player through legacy points. There is both a skill component and a luck component. Over the course of many games, better players will have higher legacy points.
