Quantum’s Pursuit

Organization:

Limbitless Solutions

Dev Category:

Release Year:

Quantum’s Pursuit is a 2D platformer built for young patients training to use Limbitless Solutions’ bionic prosthetics, blending accessible gameplay with a colorful sci-fi adventure. When the brilliant Dr. Quantum is kidnapped by the villainous Galacdorks, his limb-different grandchild sets out to rescue him. Players fight and solve puzzles through four richly themed worlds, battling robotic enemies and towering mini-bosses along the way. Combat centers on a unique three-power system, each controlled through varying flex strengths that mirror the real prosthetic training the game is designed to support, letting players stun and destroy enemies through combinations of projectile types while collecting Gears and upgrades to grow more powerful.

Game Overview

Quantum’s Pursuit reinforces physical and cognitive skills important for prosthetic training. The flex-based firing system asks players to practice controlled muscle contractions – small, middle, and heavy flex – which translate real prosthetic control exercises into in-game actions. The game also trains bilateral coordination, players move their character with one hand and fire their powers with the flex controller, practicing the same two-limb coordination needed to use a prosthetic in everyday life.

The player’s goal in Quantum’s Pursuit is to defeat the various robot enemies and rescue their character’s grandfather, Dr. Quantum. Challenge scales through enemy variety, along with platforming obstacles and puzzle mechanics like activator towers and arena-style enemy gauntlets. Difficulty builds naturally with the player’s growing skill: powers unlock progressively, so early levels are approachable with a single power while later worlds demand fluid switching between powers under pressure.

Quantum’s Pursuit is primarily intended for teenagers and young adults who are training to use Limbitless Solutions’ bionic prosthetics.

Quantum’s Pursuit assess player performance through embedded gameplay metrics rather than a formal test. Flex accuracy is measured implicitly by which power variant fires — landing the intended low, mid, or high flex effect signals correct muscle control, while missed or wrong-strength shots reveal inconsistency. Patients train with the game on their own time and their results are seen through how effectively they can operate their bionic arm.
