InnerCell players are tasked with defending the human body from infection. By controlling the body’s immune cells and delivering medicines and other treatments, the player can fight off a variety of pathogens. This simple strategy game requires players to associate particular treatments and cells with the pathogens they are most effective against.

Game Overview

InnerCell teaches players to associate particular treatments and cells with the pathogens they are most effective against.

Players must stop the pathogens from reaching either infection site, thus minimizing the infection level of the body. As pathogens attack the infection sites, the overall infection level of the body increases. Through effective performance, players minimize or completely reduce any increases to the infection level.

Late high school and early undergraduate college students.

The game calculates a number of internal metrics like the number of correct interactions, number of incorrect interactions, number of cells lost, number of cells created, number of treatments applied, and body infection level.  Correct interactions with pathogens are met with positive feedback while incorrect interactions are met with negative feedback.
