Players are given a visual feedback when they make an important decision, text feedback when they positively or negatively affect a character, and feedback on their performance at the end of the game. The use of dialogue trees and story trees allow the player’s choices to affect how characters respond and what happens in the story in the game.

Game Overview

Players are involved in a first-person narrative to learn about academic integrity, and how to recognize questionable situations, the potential negative effects associated with cheating, and how thinking through the effects of their choices before making them.

Players learn, from experiencing situations involving academic integrity first hand, how to properly handle these situations, how their choices can affect their future, and the importance of understanding academic standards at their school.

College students, 17 to 25

Player learning is measured on the ending they create by the choices they make. Ultimately, the information that comes after the game is important to be reviewed to understand their mistakes and reflect upon their choices. After reviewing results and reading the associated material, they should understand their mistakes and how to improve.
