The SGS&C Organizing Committee looks forward to welcoming this year’s best-in-class games to participate in the SGS&C event at I/ITSEC, Dec. 2-6 in Orlando, FL. Maybe YOU will have a game selected among the finalists that are vying for the 2024 awards including Best General Audience Game, Best Government Audience Game, Best Student Developed Game, Best XR Game, Best Serious Game Innovation, Students’ Choice, and People’s Choice.
Please note that the schedule adjustment made in 2023 will remain the same for 2024 to ensure earlier notification of finalists. This allows them more time for planning for event participation as well as more time for games to be highlighted leading up to the conference.
Submissions for the SGS&C 2024 opened on June 17ᵗʰ and closes on August 23ʳᵈ. Finalists are selected in mid-September and those chosen will showcase their games at I/ITSEC in Orlando, Dec. 2-6.
SGS&C grew from a Team Orlando initiative spearheaded by Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division and sponsored by National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA). SGS&C’s first I/ITSEC was 2006 and it has been a thriving part of the I/ITSEC experience since, bringing first-in- class serious games and novel game design and technology demonstrations to the I/ITSEC community. More information about SGS&C can be found on the SGS&C website (https://sgschallenge.org/.)
