Henrike Lode, who led the team that won the SGS&C 2012 Best Student Game Award and now leading Lohika ApS based in based in Copenhagen, Denmark, spoke this week at the 10th Nordic Games Conference. Her talk “Machineers – Playfully introducing programming to children” focused on the experience of creating their flagship puzzle adventure game that secretly teaches logical thinking and digital literacy to children from 8 years.
Ms. Lode was also chosen as a finalist for the Nordic Game Live-Pitching event where high tech companies pitch for financing. Both the audience at the conference and the crowdfunding donors vote for their preferred project. The winner this year was chosen by an electoral college of the votes of the investor panel, the votes on the crowdfunding site and a vote by the audience in the conference session.
